The problem
A seasonal business has six weeks to convert and one job on the home page: opening dates, prices, and how to get there. Most farm sites bury all three under a story about the family.
What we built
- Opening dates, price from, booking policy and time on site, all above the fold
- Four species pages generated from one data file, plus nine written by hand
- A mint that only exists on dark surfaces, because it is 11.9:1 on forest green and nowhere near AA on white
- A visiting page and a wreaths page, because the second visit is the margin
Where it landed
It argues against itself where it should: the Norway spruce page says plainly that it drops, and the environment section declines to claim a cut tree is carbon negative. A farm that only agrees with itself reads like a brochure.
