The Ashcroft Clinic

Private dental clinic, Harrogate & Wetherby · 2026

The Ashcroft Clinic home page: the headline “Private Dentist in Harrogate, Yorkshire” over a dark treatment-room photograph, above a seven-item mega navigation

The problem

A dental practice site is really a search problem: someone types “root canal retreatment Harrogate” and either you have that page or you do not. Most practice sites have eight pages and a treatments dropdown.

What we built

  • Thirty-one treatment pages generated from one data file, plus eighteen written by hand
  • A seven-panel mega menu, a collapsible mobile menu and a footer, all from one nav declaration
  • Fees published in full on their own page rather than hidden behind an enquiry
  • Self-hosted variable fonts with metric-matched fallbacks — 180 KB for three faces, no font CDN, no layout shift on swap
  • Hero photography graded before it ships, so the scrim can stay light enough to leave the room readable while the type still clears 4.5:1

Where it landed

The largest build in the set, and the one that shows what happens when a site is designed for how patients actually search rather than for how a practice is organised internally.
