The problem
Lawn care is sold on reassurance — is this person going to turn up, and do they know what they are doing. That argues for putting the rating and the phone number where somebody looking for reassurance looks first.
What we built
- Four service pages and three Lawnbook articles generated from one data file, plus twelve written by hand
- A problems-and-treatments section that diagnoses before it sells — chafer grubs, fairy rings, thatch
- A quote flow that states the programme: five visits a year, six treatments, no contract
- Button styling scoped with :not(.btn), after .prose a outranked .btn by one specificity point and silently stole its colour
Where it landed
Zero axe violations, CLS below 0.02, no overflow, no broken links. The three recorded faults — a specificity collision, invalid dl markup, and a dark card missing its token block — are the useful part.
